EHRLICH REAGENT EXPLAINED 

The Ehrlich reagent test confirms the presence of indole groups in a sample. LSD, DMT (ayahuasca), psilocybin and psilocin (mushrooms), AMT, 5-MeO-DMT, 5-MeO-DIPT, 5-MEO-MIPT, 5-MEO-AMT, 4-ACO-DMT all contain indole groups in their respective molecules and will therefore react with this reagent. In order to distinguish among the above mentioned indolic molecules, we highly recommend testing your sample with the Hofmann reagent as well. This will also serve as a reliable validation of the results obtained with the Ehrlich reagent. 

HOFMANN REAGENT EXPLAINED

The Hofmann reagent test confirms the presence of psychedelics in a sample. LSD, DMT (ayahuasca), psilocybin and psilocin (active compounds in magic mushrooms) and 5-MeO-DMT all react with the Hofmann reagent as depicted in the color chart.

The Hofmann test is also commonly used to discern whether or not a sample contains potentially toxic adulterants. The color chart also includes the most prevalent compounds of this class, namely the NBOMe and DOx families: 25I-NBOMe, 25C-NBOMe, 25N-NBOMe, 25D-NBOMe, 25B-NBOMe, DOB, DOC, DOM and more. 

USE INSTRUCTIONS

Place a small sample (2-5mg) of the substance you want to analyze in the provided plastic tube. If preferred, the test can be performed on a white ceramic surface for clearer results (e.g. kitchen plate). If you're testing blotter paper, 1/10 of the blotter will suffice. Add a drop of Smplest Hofmann/Ehrlich to the sample and expect it to change colors as depicted in the color chart.

When finished, clean all material thoroughly with plenty of water.  Store at cold temperature, preferably in the freezer for longer shelf life (up to 12 months).
